About Surrey Blogger Stevie Vu
Ever since I was a child I have had this instinctive urge for expansion
and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the
sincere and honest development of one's potential.

Business is my passion
The
names Stevie and I love personal development and entrepreneurship. It`s
what I’m passionate about and I`ve been working to help others develop
their skills and themselves personally for the last few years.
A big passion project of mine that I`ve been putting my time into would
be a business that’s all about bridging Gen Y youth with the business
community. To bring together students our age and showcase our talent to
the business community and prove that the generational stereotype about
us is wrong. I’m also working with other organizations looking to help
develop youth entrepreneurs within Surrey.
Previously I was the
president of AIESEC Kwantlen, a chapter of AIESEC Canada, for 2 years
where we provided other students with leadership development and
international exchange opportunities to
any of 108 countries. Examples of international exchange opportunities
would be living in Italy and working for Microsoft, or volunteering in
Africa with Not-for-profits to help develop communities or helping teach
English to kids in Brazil in schools. That’s just a few opportunities
out of the thousands available through AIESEC in pretty much any country
you`ve ever wanted to go.
Other than entrepreneurship and
youth development my interests tend to fall over the place. From
competing and winning global business competitions in Singapore and
Vancouver to traveling whenever I have the opportunity. I’ve been into
break dancing ever since I was in high school and a hobbyist musician
who makes piano songs for friends. Love reading books and a fan of trying new things, even if its a exploration into the paranormal through a ghost hunt !
Vision and Goal
We
all want to leave a legacy behind us, to make a lasting impact. How I'm
going to accomplish this is through creating a entrepreneurial community within Surrey. I'm going to start with the youth and build each piece of the community starting from there.
